History

SMAC began in 2010 when a student wanted to do something to raise money for charity. She was passionate about the Make a Wish Foundation, so they made a goal to raise $5,000. They started out small with dine-in nights and a silent auction, and over the years, SMAC has grown tremendously. To date, SMAC has raised over $300,000 dollars for local charities.

SMAC 2017 Recipient

The recipient for 2017 is MPower. They are a non-profit organization based in Stillwater, OK. Their mission is to help give people with mental and physical disabilities jobs and other services. The clients can work on sight or out in the community, depending on their skill level. MPower is planning on using SMAC's donation to help pave their parking lot, and help with maintenance in the building.
