History

SMAC began in 2010 when a student wanted to do something to raise money for charity. She was passionate about the Make a Wish Foundation, so they made a goal to raise $5,000. They started out small with dine-in nights and a silent auction, and over the years, SMAC has grown tremendously. To date, SMAC has raised $500,000 dollars for local charities.

SMAC 2019 Recipient - Mya's Promise

The recipient for 2019 is Mya's Promise. They are a non-profit organization based in Stillwater, OK. Their mission is to provide educational programs, scholarships, and activities promoting social and personal growth for children with special needs, and support and assistance for their parents and siblings. SMAC's donation will help to create an adaptive playground area at Strcikland Park that is inviting for all children including those with special needs.
